[Lustre-devel] Is that possible for lnet to be a independent project?

Lnet of Lustre shows good features of network abstraction. After
reading Lustre documents and codes, I realized that lnet is loosely coupled
with the other modules in Lustre system. So I think it will be a good advise
for lnet to be a independent project with Lustre.  Such that other systems
working in linux kernel mode can use lnet for data transferring.
