There is the following notable enhancement over 2.12.8:

RHEL 8.6 is now supported for clients  (LU-15795<https://jira.whamcloud.com/browse/LU-15795>).

The next LTS release will likely be 2.15.1; there may be a 2.12.10 release in the coming months
