[Lustre-discuss] kernel compiling

Lustre is supported from kernels since 2.4 version. May be even
earlier.  So kernel version is not an issue. Just that with a
particular kernel, you cannot run any version of lustre. A particular
version of lustre will adher to a particular kernel.
