[Lustre-discuss] Lustre in User Space

[Chadha, Narjit]

I was wondering if anybody knows if and when Lustre will be taken out of the Linux kernel and placed into the user space. I have heard that this may happen once zfs is adopted as the filesystem, after v2.0. Changing the linux kernel does present official compatibility issues with some hardware/software.
