The 1.6.5 release is undergoing internal testing, and we hope to release
it in the next couple of weeks, but this is subject to successful testing
(or there is no point in doing the testing...). You can always grab it
from CVS if you are interested to see the current state and give it a spin.

The lustre/ChangeLog reports:

       * version 1.6.5
       * Support for kernels:
        2.6.5-7.311 (SLES 9),
        2.6.9-67.0.7.EL (RHEL 4),
        2.6.16.54-0.2.5 (SLES 10),
        2.6.22.14 vanilla (kernel.org)
       * Client support for unpatched kernels:
         (see http://wiki.lustre.org/index.php?title=Patchless_Client)
         2.6.16 - 2.6.22 vanilla (kernel.org)

lnet/ChangeLog reports:
       * version 1.6.5
       * Support for networks:
        socklnd - any kernel supported by Lustre,
        qswlnd - Qsnet kernel modules 5.20 and later,
        openiblnd - IbGold 1.8.2,
        o2iblnd   - OFED 1.1 and 1.2.0, 1.2.5
        viblnd - Voltaire ibhost 3.4.5 and later,
        ciblnd    - Topspin 3.2.0,
        iiblnd    - Infiniserv 3.3 + PathBits patch,
        gmlnd - GM 2.1.22 and later,
        mxlnd - MX 1.2.1 or later,
        ptllnd    - Portals 3.3 / UNICOS/lc 1.5.x, 2.0.x

... but I think building against OFED 1.3 is also working.

Cheers, Andreas
