Indeed, OFED was not support by any Lustre release packages before 
1.6.5, I recommend you rebuild Lustre 1.6.4.3 manually if you would like 
to use it with IB configuration.

The good news is you will find OFED(1.3) support in 1.6.5 release both 
for rhel5 and sles10 in the near future.
