hello all,
i'm new to lustre and i'm planning to install it on centos5.2/i686
(kernel-2.6.18-92.1.*.el5).
On sun website, i can locate for download only packages for older centos-5.1
kernels (2.6.18_53.1.14.el5)... and no kernel-lustre-.src.rpm available.
Can anybody tell me:
- if is required to dowgrade first my centos box to older centos kernel
binaries (2.6.18_53.1.14.el5) and after that to install rpms from sun
website, or is enough to install directly
kernel-lustre-smp-2.6.18-53.1.14.el5_lustre.1.6.5.1.i686.rpm plus deps found
on sun website?
- is any problem if i am using a single processor machine and i have installed
kernel binaries compiled for smp?
- where can i download lustre binaries for latest kernel-2.6.18-92.1.13.el5?
Regards,
Alx
