Not if the move includes a move of basic system network identity as well
(i.e. the NID).  If the NID will be different you will have to use the
procedure documented in both the manual and mountconf wiki to change a
server nid.

If the new MDS has the same network identity as the old one, umounting
OSTs is not necessary.  If you need to change the MDT server NID you
have to unmount everything anyway.
