[Lustre-discuss] Reiserfs

Today the ONLY underlying filesystem for Lustre storage is "ldiskfs", 
which is the heavily patched ext3+ used as the basis for ext4 (work is 
underway to re-baseline the ldiskfs patches against ext4 versus ext3).  
Work is also underway to use ZFS as the underlying filesystem, which 
will be supported in a future release.

As for the "OS" filesystem, that is entirely up to you.
