[Lustre-discuss] Patch Details

Looking at the bug 20278 patch "details", it appears that the patch has
not only not landed in any release yet but has not even been given
permission to "land".  I'm wondering what this really means in terms of
the suitability of the patch.   Has it been tested at all?   

If we are hitting this bug in production and need the patch, is it
reasonably safe to apply it by hand (to 1.8.1), rebuild and deploy.

Any status on 1.8.1.1?
