Hi guys

I have the same problem with ctheodos now,

*Apr 21 09:40:37 MDS1 kernel: LustreError:
29955:0:(mds_open.c:1665:mds_close()) @@@ no handle for file close ino

*After reading explanation from Dmitry, i think it's just a harmless error
message.
The reason is: there are files which was still open when the client was
evicted, and after recovering, the client access to those files, to close or
do anything on it, in the mds and client's logs, the error message will
appear ? - correct me if i'm misunderstanding you, plz

If so, the question is :

- Could we totally sweep all these error messages out by restarting the
client ?

- Is the metadata handling on MDS affected by this kind of error? ( I saw
my mds load average went pretty high in comparison with its usual value )

Best regards
