What lustre version do you use? Bug 22755 which can cause premature ENOSPC was fixed in 1.8.4.
If you already run 1.8.4 or 1.8.5, could you please run the following command on the OST which is returning ENOSPC?
$ lctl get_param obdfilter.*.tot_*
