I have 1.8.5.56 working for almost a 9 months now patchless with RH61 and OFED 1.5.3 - so I guess you are safe using 1.8.6 or later

I'm guessing the 1.8.7-wc1 release from whamcloud should support rhel6 update 1.  but can anyone lend a yes/no on patchless client support for 1.8.7 on rhel6.1 x86_64 with infiniband?  i'm anticipating a cluster upgrade from rhel5.4 to rhel6.1 shortly, just checking all the kernel/software support lists...
