Emne: Re: [Lustre-discuss] Lustre and IBM TSM backup

We use TSM with our Lustre systems.. you can just point TSM at a Lustre system, but you need to be concerned with scan time on the MDS. To alleviate this we carefully run multiple streams and point TSM at multiple subdirectories at the same time. We have not looked at integrating a e2scan version. We are able to backup(incrementals) everything in a day, whereas a full backup can take up to a week just point it at the root.

In effect it can ‘just work’, but works better with some specializing the data streams.

Subject: [Lustre-discuss] Lustre and IBM TSM backup

I've received question from a potential Lustre user: "How much can you tell me about IBM's TSM backup soluton in combination with Lustre?"

Anyone have experience with this?
