[Lustre-discuss] sgpdd-survey and /dev/dm-0

Mount your OSTs as a raw devices using raw. Do a "man raw". I can't remember if you create the raw device from the /dev/mapper/* device or the /dev/dm-N device, but one of those works. Then run sgpdd_survey on the /dev/rawN devices.
