Hello everyone,

In our v.1.8.4 lustre production system we face some problems with the
quotas.

I have a group with only 1 user.

When I do a ::

# lfs quota -g groupID /lustre
Disk quotas for group groupID (gid 7850):
Filesystem kbytes quota limit grace files quota limit
grace
/lustre 2607856 3221225472 3435134976 - 93284 2000000 2200000
  -

Where 2607856 corresponds to 2.5G

# lfs quota -u userID /lustre
Disk quotas for user userID (uid 7655):
Filesystem kbytes quota limit grace files quota limit
grace
/lustre 38117624 0 0 - 93339 0 0 -

Where 38117624 corresponds to 36.35G

This deviates around ~14 times. And by checking the user's folder,

# du -s userID/.
2607848 userID/.

I came to realize that the user's quotas are inaccurate (the user cannot
write data anywhere apart from his folder).

I would like to ask you if you have any knowledge of any lustre quota issue
that is not documented anywhere or if you have any idea on how could this
be fixed.

Thank you in advance for any reply,
Stelios.
