I reinstalled the original lustre modules, which were the stock lustre rpms I downloaded from intel.
I guess then I lucked out and used the same version of zfs that the the rpms were compiled against the first time.

Did you just reinstall your original Lustre version, or did you also rebuild it against the new ZFS version?
