[lustre-discuss] upgrading zfs back end file system lustre doesn't mount anymore

Good Morning,
That seems to have done the trick. For the benefit of everyone on this list using zfs... The issue I encountered with zfs is described here:
https://github.com/zfsonlinux/zfs/issues/2523
To resolve it I had to download the newest zfs 0.6.3, recompile it, then recompile the lustre server rpms. After I recompiled it and installed it on the test system (which had its zpools created, but never mounted) I was able to mount the osts on that system for the first time. I can't quite declare victory just yet, as I still need to perform the process on a system with data. But I'm fairly confident that the data will be safe.
w/r,
Kurt

While I have never tried what you are describing, I am just assuming that changing the ZFS version will require a rebuild of Lustre. The error messages you reported reminded me of similar errors I have seen on a couple of occasions where OFED was upgraded on a system, but Lustre was not rebuilt against the new version.
