Jerome,
You can use compiled kernel from download site for the server without re-compilation. On clients, since there is no need of kernel patch, just recompile client package (parameter: -without servers) for your specific kernel.

Dear allI don't know if it exists a way to compile lustre 2.5.3 for version of kernel 2.6.32-431.11.2 ? I'm trying to use the kernel-2.6.32-431.23.3.el6_lustre.src.rpm files, but get al final  a version 2.6.32-431.23.3.
