Hi all,

As a stopgap to migrating our cluster from Ubuntu to Centos, I need to
distribute an updated Lustre client to all the compute nodes, which are
all running Ubuntu 12.04.

I have the 2.8 client compiled on a test node and it seems to be working
without problems on this node, as I have used it to copy over 6TB of
files from the old Lustre filestore to the new one.

However I'll need to distribute the updated client to the other nodes,
whilst I could just do a make install on all of them it will mean having
a working build environment on each.

I notice looking at the Makefiles that there are several RPM type
targets, would one of these be able to produce a set of files that I
could then just install on each node ?

Cheers.

Phill.
