Why would it be?  The bottleneck (even with SSDs) is going to be the disks.  AIUI with traditional 
RAID5/6 the presence of a battery backed cache allows hardware RAID to maintain consistency 
guarantees without additional disk accesses needed by a software implementation but ZFS/
RAID-Z is designed to avoid the need for such a cache.
