[lustre-discuss] Questions about upgrading

We have an MDS and 10 OSSes.  The MDS and six of the OSSes are running
RHEL6.8 and 4 of the OSSes are runing RHEL6.9.  All of the machines have
lustre-2.5.5 compiled against 2.6.32_642.6.2.el6 on them.

We want to swap in operating system disks on all the servers to upgrade
them to RHEL7.5 running lustre 2.12.2.  I'm on the verge of testing this
using some VMs, but I figured I'd ask here as well.

Can anyone tell me why this won't work?
