[lustre-discuss] tunefs.lustre safe way to get config

G'Day all,

I need to review the IP's assigned during the initial mkfs.lustre on ten
ZFS based OST's and two ZFS backed MDT's.

The ZFS disks are:
osthome0/ost0, osthome1/ost1, osthome2/ost2, osthome3/ost3,
ostlustre0/ost0, ostlustre1/ost1, ostlustre2/ost2,
ostlustre3/ost3, ostlustre4/ost4, ostlustre5/ost5
And
mdsthome/home
mdtlustre/lustre).

A few questions....

Is it safe to use tunefs.lustre on the running system to read back the
parameters only? or do I have to shut everything down and read from the
unmounted filesystems?

Is this the correct commands to use for the DMTs?

tunefs.lustre --print mdthome/home
tunefs.lustre --print mdtlustre/lustre
