[lustre-discuss] 4 OSTs RAID6 vs 10 OSTs RAID1

Hi all,

I have 2 OSS with 10 SATA disks of 16 TBs each. To create OSTs, I might use
two opcions:

a) 5 OSTs of 16 TB using RAID1 each 0SS => 10 OSTs
b) 2 OSTs of 48 TB using RAD6 (3 + 2 disks) each OSS => 4 OSTs

>From the performance point of view which should be the prefered opcion?
