[lustre-discuss] Files that use a lot more space then their length

Hi,

I've tested running ZFS filesystem on top of Lustre files. It works 
perfectly, but I found a strange issue.

A file is using a lot more space than the length of file:

# du --block-size=1 17
36164681618944  17
# stat --printf "%s  %n\n" 17
16000000000000  17

How can this happen, or is it a bug?
