All the nodes have to run the same network type, so they can talk to one another. If client is runnng<div>Infiniband, server must also run Infiniband, in most cases. See the Lustre Manual for information on</div><div>Lustre Routing. </div>
<div>Clients and server can run different versions of Lustre. </div><div>You need to run a version of the kernel supported by Lustre, even with patchless clients. </div><div>See Lustre release notes for kernel versions.</div>
