Sorry, I was thinking server, not client. I always mount them on
clients after boot is complete, and when I'm ready to use Lustre, so
I guess I have nothing to add here. <br>

mounting from /etc/fstab, try adding "_netdev" as a
parameter. This forces the mount to wait until the network
