</o:shapelayout></xml><![endif]--></head><body lang=EN-US link="#0563C1" vlink="#954F72"><div class=WordSection1><p class=MsoPlainText>OpenSFS is excited to provide an opportunity for students to interact with technology leaders and developers from the industry, worldwide academia, and U.S. National Laboratories. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText>OpenSFS is seeking student volunteers for the <a href="http://opensfs.org/lug-2019-registration-is-now-open/">Lustre Group (LUG) 2019 Meeting</a>. LUG 2019 will take place in Houston, TX on May 14-17, 2019. OpenSFS will provide financial assistance for round trip travel to and from the student’s educational institution’s home town to Houston, TX, lodging for the duration of the conference, transport fees to and from the airports, and per diem. The registration fees for student volunteers will be waived by OpenSFS. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText><b><u>A. Eligibility<o:p></o:p></u></b></p><p class=MsoPlainText>Students at the undergraduate or graduate level in Computer Science or a closely related program, enrolled in an accredited university in United States are eligible to apply. Applicants are expected to explain why they will benefit from attending the conference. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText><b><u>B. Selection<o:p></o:p></u></b></p><p class=MsoPlainText>Selection will be made by the OpenSFS Board and students currently enrolled in programs from OpenSFS member academic organizations will be prioritized. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText><b><u>C. Duties<o:p></o:p></u></b></p><p class=MsoPlainText>Student Volunteer duties may include but are not limited to:<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText> * Tracking and reporting session attendance<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText> * Distributing print materials for sessions<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText> * Assisting speakers during sessions<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText> * Managing microphones for questions<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText> * Assisting conference organizer<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText><b><u>D. Expectations<o:p></o:p></u></b></p><p class=MsoPlainText>Students will attend the entire duration of the conference from Monday, May 14 to Friday May 17, 2019. These rooms are booked by OpenSFS to ensure student volunteers have quick and easy access to the Conference to work their shifts.
