<p>I need another help in understanding this issue.</p>
<p>I am trying to install <b>lustre <span>2.15.5</span> on </b><span><b>4.18.0-553.5.1.el8_10.x86_64</b></span>...and when i am trying to install the rpm binary <span><i>"lustre-osd-ldiskfs-mount</i></span><i>"</i>, i get the following error..</p>

<div class="PlainText">I guess you need to explain whether you are trying to install the binary RPM modules (Lustre 2.15.5 RPM packages are available for 4.18.0-553.5.1 at<br>

or if you are trying to build your own packages using DKMS?<br>

Installing the binary RPMs is *much* easier, in which case you don't need<br>
the DKMS packages at all.<br>
<br>
If you are building your own packages then you should use 2.15.8 since it<br>
contains a lot more fixes than installing 2.15.5 on a new system.<br>
