Just a point of nomenclature, just to help keep your problem
descriptions clear to all reading...

To a client, Lustre is a "filesystem" (not a disk).  A Lustre client
mounts a Lustre *filesystem* not a Lustre *disk*.

When you say "Lustre disk" I tend to think most people will be
interpreting that as an OST or MDT -- i.e. the actual disk that the OST
or MDT resides on.
