[lustre-discuss] What happens if my data to be written is lesser than the stripe size

Hi,

If I have a file of say 100KB and my stripe size is set to 1MB, how does Lustre write it to the OST?
Does it pad the file to make it of 1MB or just writes 100KB of file?
Please explain.
