[lustre-discuss] how to extend safely the MDT?

Hello,
Usually  do:
lvextend --size /dev/system/mdt
resize2fs /dev/system/mdt
e2fsck -f /dev/system/mdt

Is it still safe to do that?
Are there any new way on 2.10.x to extend the ldiskfs MDT after
upgrading the disks?
