<div dir="ltr"><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div>Hello List!<br><br></div>I have a very small test cluster with Lustre-2.10.1 on both client and server.<br></div>I am testing Progressive File Layout and Data on MDT functions.<br><br></div>The backing file system on the Lustre targets is ZFS-0.7.6-1 and the OS is CentOS 7.3.1611.  The storage was built from source on the cluster itself.<br><br></div>PFL functions as described in the lustre_manual.pdf  Chapter 19.5.<br></div>In attempting to test Data on MDT (DoM) which uses PFL, my &quot;lfs setstripe&quot; command does not recognize the &quot;-L mdt&quot; flag.   It is not included in the &quot;man lfs-setstripe&quot; for my 2.10.1 lustre and trying to use the command example in the lustre_manual.pdf Chapter 20 2.1.1 example:<br></div>&gt; lfs setstripe  -E 1M -L mdt -E -1 -S 4M -c -1 /mnt/L210/DoM_test <br></div>fails with &quot;setstripe: invalid option -- &#39;L&#39; ...&quot; and prints the setstripe help.  <br><br></div>Sure enough &quot;man lfs-setstripe&quot; does not show the existence of the -L mdt option described in the manual Chapter 20.  <br><br></div>Has DoM landed yet?  If yes, in what lustre version?<br></div>If DoM is in lustre-2.10.1, is my syntax faulty?<br><br></div><div>P.S.  I am already looking at moving the test system to lustre-2.10.3 because of LU-9529/LU-9530 lfs migrate item.<br></div><div><br></div>Cheers,<br></div>megan<br></div>
