[Lustre-discuss] Multiple network interface issue

Hi all,

We have a lustre( v1.4 ) box communicated with infiniband interface.
The server box have multiple network interfaces( vib and ethernet ).
Now we try to add some clients with ethernet interface into the lustre box.
Can the clients choose the NIC appropriate to their own interface?
How can I implement that? If new clients use lustre version 1.6,
are they able to join the previous lustre box?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
