[Lustre-discuss] Remove a lost OST

Thanks for the link. I know the “undeleteable file” is on the lost OST. I will try to append a new OST with the same index of the lost OST. Perhaps I avoid the “invalid argument” error and so delete the file.

one more link :) - http://wiki.lustre.org/manual/LustreManual20_HTML/LustreOperations.html#50438194_30872

The idea is to get, if the file you want to refer is on that inactive OST. If so, you need to spend time in recovering the lost OST. (The earlier link to man page would help in that).

Thanks for your help, but I still have the same error with any command applied to the file:

  #> chmod g+x .viminfo
chmod: cannot access `.viminfo': Invalid argument

I think the problem is, I the client try to connect to the missing OST, and show the error.

And I have a couple of files that a part or stripe was stored in the lost OST0014:

      #> ls
      -????????? ? ? ? ? ? .viminfo
      #> rm –f .viminfo
rm: cannot remove `.viminfo': Invalid argument

Can somebody tell my how I remove this files from the filesystem and erase permanent the lost OST0014? During the lustre filesystem STOP I will can do any kind of lfsck, fsck, mount ldiskfs... any ideas?

      Thanks in advance
