[Lustre-discuss] Lustre 1.8 client on RedHat 7

I think RHEL7 is 3.x kernel and all current release are on 2.x kernel.
Also, porting is still work in progress.

Did you try using make install for client only using the source code ? You
can provide the kernel source to your package.

This worked in our case when we required a client only for ubuntu 12.04.
