Also take the time to read up on LNET routers, it's much simpler from a configuration standpoint to have something bridging your two networks than having it all on the OSSes/MDSes.

In newer Lustre versions this can be done dynamically with lnetctl. I'm not an expert in that, but hopefully that gets you looking in the right direction.

Currently my lustre filesystem is confgured to use only o2ib network, I'd like to add possibility of mounting it over tcp.

I can move ost between oss; then on not used oss  rmmod lnet; change parameters; modprobe lnet;  but... I'd prefere to add the network online. (Like writing to /sys filesystem).  Is this possible? Have anyone done this, if yes was it's stable?
