[lustre-discuss] Lustre server/client compatibility

Hi all,

   I'm planning to upgrade our lustre servers to 2.8
in the next week or two. The OS would remain in the
RHEL/Centos/SL 6.x series. At the moment, we are
lustre 2.5.3 across the board.

   From initial tests, it looks like the 2.5.3 clients
work fine with these servers, but I'm curious if there
is a strong need to upgrade all of the clients at
the same time as the servers, or if we can roll that out
whenever it's expedient.
