[Lustre-discuss] Upgrading 1.6.7.1 -> 1.8.1 Documentation?

Hi everyone,

 I was wondering if there was any documentation specific to upgrading
lustre 1.6.x branch to 1.8.x branch. All the docs I could find were in
regard to 1.4.x -> 1.6.x 

 Can I just use the same procedure?

 Also, after the upgrade I likely won't be able to perform any more
upgrades for about a year. With this in mind what would be the safer
bet? (stability more important that performance): 
- stick with 1.6.x branch (upgrade to 1.6.7.2) 
- upgrade to 1.8.0.1
- upgrade to 1.8.1
