[Lustre-discuss] What exactly is punch statistic?

Hello!

   No, it's not a bad thing. It's just another operation like others.
   When apps do truncate() call, the punch RPCs happen.
   When apps do open(O_TRUNC) call, the punch RPCs happen too.
